Snehalaya (meaning "Home of Love") was founded in 1989 in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, India. For over three decades, Snehalaya has been a beacon of hope for the most marginalized members of society — children orphaned by HIV/AIDS, women trapped in sex trafficking, and families crushed by extreme poverty.
Snehalaya USA is the registered 501(c)(3) non-profit arm based in the United States. We exist to bridge the gap between American generosity and India's most vulnerable communities. Every dollar donated through Snehalaya USA is 100% tax-deductible and goes directly to fund life-changing programs on the ground.
